About the Brand
My name is Violet, and I am the owner and designer of Funkadelics. I have always had a passion for the fashion, and have been attending festivals for almost 10 years now. My dream was to create a festival fashion brand that could help people to express who they are on the inside, on the outside as well! Ever since I was little, I always loved Dr. Seuss’s quote “Why fit in when you were born to stand out?”. That’s why everything I make is unique, loud, and one of a kind.
I make everything from sunglasses, to hats, jewelry, purses, and more! I upcycle many of my pieces, and use a variety of materials like rhinestones, sequins, etc. to make everyday accessories into fabulous fashion pieces.
My goal is to transport someone into a funky universe when they enter my booth, I want the person to feel like they are stepping into another place. That’s why I decorate my booth with disco balls, funky colors, and wild prints! I have vended at places like Desert Hearts shows, EDM events, festival farmers markets, and the Ocean Beach farmers market every week, and I absolutely love meeting everyone and adding a little sparkle to any event!
It makes me smile so big when I see people radiating after putting on one of my pieces, I love seeing people express themselves and be unique. So my favorite thing is being able to meet people in person and vend at different events!
